Devuan is a fork of Debian that aims to replace all packages that depend on systemd components. Everything else comes unmodified from Debian.
Personally, I think the "Veteran Unix Admins" denomination is somewhat silly, but hey... I get my #Linux that feels like the Linux I've known for over 20 years.
@steckerhalter It's only going to get harder as Debian maintainers remove legacy init scripts or new software grows hard dependencies on systemd infrastructure.
Not sure it's going to be sustainable, but hey, the BSDs live too ...
@galaxis I've read that the guys doing #Devuan "don't have time to deal with problems systemd causes" but then they have time to maintain a #Debian fork (which is a lot of work) 😆
